RSA Luxembourg S.A. announces the appointment of David Meliá as Data Protection Officer.
He will be based in Spain and will report directly to Michael Fisher, Director of Risk and Compliance Oversight, RSA Luxembourg.
As Data Protection Officer for Europe*, his functions will include, among others, inform and advise on data protection obligations, monitor internal compliance and act as a contact point for data subjects and supervisors.
David holds a Law Degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master's Degree in Labour Law from the Garrigues Study Centre.
David has nearly 15 years of solid experience in insurance companies in Regulatory Compliance, Internal Control and Risk areas. During almost 10 years, David held the position of Head of Compliance in Aegon, where he coordinated many regulatory projects including the implementation of GDPR. Prior to joining RSA, David was Head of the Assurance Corporate Compliance Function and the Speak up Channel at Sanitas, where among other responsibilities, he was in charge of the management and review of the Data Protection procedures.
